With the guidance of a professional bilingual guide, you will traverse the suspended pathways of the Místico Hanging Bridges Park. This park, located on a mountain opposite to the volcano and Arenal lake, offers the most breathtaking panoramic views. As you start hiking and cross the first of 6 big bridges you get immersed in the normally hard to observe world of the tree canopy. You'll witness the diverse flora and fauna that call this ecosystem home, gaining a deeper understanding of its delicate balance.
Next on our list is a visit to the lava fields at the foot of the Arenal Volcano. Here we go through the lava following a trail that takes us to the best viewpoint. Standing between the big black rocks you enjoy a 360 view of all of La Fortuna's stunning surroundings. The Arenal Lake, the rainforest, the encircling lava fields and most impressively the Arenal that stands before you in all its enormity. Your guide will be there to give you details about the volcano's intriguing history.
After indulging in a nutritious lunch at the Rainforest Café we are off to the spectacular La Fortuna waterfall. Taking 500 steps down a jungle staircase you get rewarded by the sight of a huge mass of water crashing down in the jungle adorned pool. We relax in its refreshing spray and you are invited to take a swim in its pool where you can experience the impressive force of the water.
To finish the day you can immerse yourself in the hot water of the Relax Termalitas springs. Located at the foot of the volcano this small resort offers many pools with different water temperatures. Enjoy a complementary drink while sharing experiences with fellow travelers. Around 5pm we will start the drop off and say goodbye convinced we offered you the best and most complete day possible in beautiful La Fortuna.
