Morning Volcano Hike, Lunch & Hot Springs

On this 6 hour nature adventure you will see all the stunning beauty of the Arenal and its nearby surrounding. After meeting at our office, or having been picked up at your La Fortuna lodging, we take you on a short drive to the park.

Out of the different parks near the volcano, we choose the "Mirador el Silencio park" for our hike. This park offers us the best possible combination of lush primary rainforest together with the presence of huge lava fields.

Both have good challenging trails that we will hike with you. At the end of the trail that takes us through the lava rocks we find ourselves at a point where we can enjoy huge 360 views.

We see: the Arenal Lake, the surrounding jungle, the Northern plains and most impressively the massive Arenal volcano.

Going through the forest your guide helps spot and explain about the different elements of the eco system. The park has plenty of animals that are home to it. Three different types of monkeys, Coati's, Amphibians, Reptiles, an array of Birds and sloths can be spotted. Having more forest trails to choose from the guide can adjust the length and duration of the route depending spotting expectations, wishes, limitations or weather.

Finishing the hike we take you to rainforest café for a nice lunch. Different options are available, all included a fresh fruit drink. Next door is the Relax termalitas hot spring resort. After eating you can enjoy the different naturally heated hot spring pools. With lush gardens and a great view of the volcano this is the best place to finish the tour. Transport from the springs to your lodging will take place at the agreed time. If wished you can stay at the springs till they close. You won't be able to use our transport back to the hotel if you decide to stay.
